The Battler was formerly the website for the SE QLD IWW, which was comprised of Australian syndicalists excluded from the trotskyist-captured Australian Regional Organising Committee (AusROC).
For years GHQ has sat on its hands, despite mounting evidence of criminal misconduct on the part of movement thugs like Tristan Bunner and Ema Corro, and the willingness of spineless, soulless turncoats like Dave Kerin and the Earthworker collective to coddle and platform their venal ability supremacism (reflextively medicalising reactions to their disrespect and abuse).

In the face of the inaction of nominal leftists in the IWW and the Earthworker cooperative in doing anything other than coddling entryists and ability bigots, the SE QLD IWW ran out of steam and collapsed (and at the same moment the Class Autonomy collective, much the same people). The IWW resolves internal issues by neglecting them until you just give up.
The Battler continues this fight, even if the IWW is dead RIP.
Much better formations than the puritanical rump of AUSROC are to be had: readers should consider joining the Anarchist Communist Federation, or the Renters and Housing Union, or both.
Avoid the ASF microcult, the working class generally does.
